You will join an exciting new team of experienced insurance auditors based in the Gurgaon office and will be working as part of a fully integrated client service team with your colleagues in the UK. This role will enable you to further develop your insurance expertise in all areas of the audit process to deliver high quality audits to UK and international clients. There will be opportunities to come to the UK to meet your colleagues, attend training sessions and eligibility for future secondments.

A look into the role:

- As an audit manager, you will support the senior management team including partners to develop and build the audit team and deliver high quality insurance audits. You will work closely with clients and teams and will be committed to providing an exceptional audit service.


- You should have experience managing team members to deliver sections of the audit file on our underwriting clients and the skills necessary to take on responsibility for your own portfolio of smaller clients in your second year with us. You will have opportunities to come to the UK to support your training and development. You will manage and nurture stakeholder relationships at audited entities throughout the engagement, working with senior and junior level staff.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Client facing role as part of the audit service team working alongside colleagues from the UK and Gurgaon.

- Assist the client service partner or management team on the formulation of audit strategy and planning.

- Technical expert for small audit assignments or parts of larger more complex audits, providing advice to the audit team and appropriate technical challenge to the client.

- Lead and manage the audit team members, ensuring the team complete their work in a timely manner within budget.

- Manage smaller non-public interest audit assignments from planning through to finalisation of reports once training and relevant UK experience has been gained in line.

- Manage and monitor the finances of the engagement including budget, identify overruns, fee negotiation, and raising fees to the client.

- Performance and people manage the junior team members including coaching, feedback, training and development, and engage high performing teams.

- Maintains control and stability under pressure whilst recognising the deadline or urgency.

- Ensure standards and procedures maintained by whole team.

- Prepare engagement deliverables, such as audit opinion, summary for the Partner and any other reporting documents, including group reporting and audit committee papers.

- Act as a point of contact for with audited entities and manage the involvement of both the Partner and/or Director.

- Build strong working relationships with clients and team members.

- Show vision and strategic perspective.

- Deliver confident and clear presentations to clients.

- Assess and produce high quality work in line with the Firm's policy and processes, meeting relevant regulatory requirements.

Our Expectations:

- ACCA, ICAI CA or ACA (or equivalent) qualification.

- Experience of leading external audits, managing and delivering a portfolio of high-quality audits.

- Experience of managing, training and coaching the audit team.

- Prior experience of working at an experienced Audit Assistant Manager or Audit Manager level within the insurance sector.

- Client relationship management experience.

- Relevant insurance sector audit experience.

- Up to date and sound technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and/or IFRS and International Standards on Auditing.

- Experience of managing, training and coaching an audit team.

- Experience of using audit software and Microsoft packages.

- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

- Actively seeks to enhance expertise and knowledge, operate with a curious and sceptical mindset.

- Experience of developing new initiatives and methodologies.

- Experience of identifying issues through sound analysis and application of commercial acumen.

- Self-driven, takes ownership of projects, effectively delegates to others within the team and takes responsibility for quality control.

- Develops a network of client contacts and contacts in the wider market
