BRIEF PROFILE AND WORK EXPECTATIONS FROM THE CANDIDATE:
- Book closing: Be part of team ensuring Oracle is closed every month. All sub modules are closed. All accounting feeds from satellite systems are completed in Oracle and reconciled.
- Review of Financials: Responsible for preparation and review of the financial statements. Presenting the monthly results/ quarterly results to FC/CFO for review with variance analysis, walks, commentary on major lines and action being taken to control outages and expectation from various stakeholders and finance leaders.
- Board Sub-Committees: Preparation of review decks for the Audit Committee with analysis.
- Oracle developments: Ensure streamlining of new system Oracle implemented. Develop reports from system directly from FSG and Other reporting tools.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, the Companies Act 2013, and also the IRDAI regulations.
- Quarterly audit: Aid in quarterly audit specifically for closure of premium related schedules and other balance sheet schedules and other queries around entries or treatment of specific items.
- Hands on experience of IFRS: Knowledge of IFRS/ IND AS.
- Manage the team of 4-6 team members
DESIRED COMPETENCIES/ QUALIFICATIONS:
- Chartered Accountant 2012 onwards
- Proficiency on working in MS Office (Good on Excel & Power Point) and Oracle financials
- Good knowledge of Accounting practices and standards, Companies Act and IRDAI regulations (preferred)
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
- Communication Skills
