JOB SUMMARY :
To ensure all assigned IT projects are executed within the ambit of the Project Management principles/guidelines and completed within the defined schedule, scope and budget.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- To track one or more assigned IT projects and proactively inform the management of any potential slippages, hurdles and concerns. With key focus on:
a. Project Planning and definition
b. Tracking project schedules
c. Tracking interdependencies across projects
- Manage end to end delivery of assigned Projects (Digital/Non-digital)
- Budgeting and Cost management of Projects including assessment and reporting of Cost and Schedule variances
- Resource allocation and their management
- Weekly reporting of Project progress to stakeholders
- Liaise with external partners/vendors to ensure all assigned development/testing activities are executed as per plan
- Administration of change management process
- Custodian of master copies of key project documents
- Assist and train team members to follow project management processes and build buy-in to the defined process
- Periodically Review and improve upon the Project Management methodology/SDLC including audit check before GO LIVE
- Review/inspect projects for adherence to Project Management Process
- Reinforce Project Management process adherence
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Contribute on department initiatives to drive IT governance
- Facilitate Program Office meetings
- Facilitate documents for review / sign-off
- Coordinate project related Rewards and Recognition program

a. Execution Measures :
- Adherence to project plan and schedules.
- Quality of project deliverables
b. Leadership Measures :
- Ability to influence the team to follow Project Management methodology (subjective observation)
c. User Satisfaction Measures :
- Business users should be satisfied with the tracking of the various projects (subjective observation)
- IT team should have the buy-in of the Project Management techniques (subjective observation)
Key Relationships (Internal /External) :
- Internal : All Project Managers
- External : All Business user groups, COO, Tech Steer Com, Central PMO
Key competencies/skills required :
- Effective Communication : Ability to interpret technical procedures to business users
- Relationship Management : Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with cross functional teams
- Decision making : Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization
- Organizing & Planning :
a. Knowledge of and ability to utilize word processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and Internet software
b. Knowledge of current hardware and software technologies and uses
c. Hands on experience in working with PM tools like JIRA & Microsoft Project is a must
d. Presentation skills, writing proficiency and visual design skills on PowerPoint are a must
Desired qualification and experience :
- BCA/MCA/MBA/BE with 6-9 years of relevant experience in Project management/IT PMO
- Experience in handling Project/department budgets
- Waterfall & Agile Project understanding, Certifications such as PMP, CSM is an added advantage.
