Job Summary:   Responsible for :  - Consumer need identification leading to new product ideas  - Market segmentation & product fitment  - Product positioning & marketing  Key Responsibilities:   Product :  - Knowledge of the financial category outside its immediate boundaries of Life Insurance and reasons for consumer buy-in to the category  - Understand product offerings in the market and reasons for success/failure  - Tap into consumer insights and identify product needs for relevant segments given white spaces in the Max Life portfolio as well as company strategic direction  - Co-create products with product team and research with consumers and sellers across channels to check for robustness  Advertising & Communication:  - Develop communication strategy for product introduction and life cycle management with the product manager  - Product positioning and communication package for launch across relevant consumer segments and channels  - Develop sales tools and aids which will help accelerate product uptake amongst sellers & consumers   - Simplify product communication in an erstwhile complex category to convey our proposition clearly to sellers and consumers  Business Support :  - Launch specific projects across the organization inclusive to all stakeholders - employees, sellers and channel partners  - Create a yearly rhythm and calendar with a robust communication pack which will ensure stakeholder participation & engagement  Others:  - Interpret research findings and leverage them to redefine the product discourse  - Develop and manage relationships across functions (Sales, Learning and Development, Product, HR) for cross-functional projects.   Desired experience:   - PGDBM/MBA from a premier institute (Minimum Education)  - 10-12 years experience in Brand / Product manager role in a strong organization which has consumer focused communication  - Similar experience in Account Planning with an advertising agency. Client servicing in advertising agency with equivalent experience is also acceptable.  - Sales experience is desirable  Knowledge and skills required:  - Solid strategic orientation  - Robust analytical skills   - Ability to understand LI products  - High on creativity and innovativeness  - Comfort with ambiguity   - Very strong result orientation  - Excellent presentation skills  - Strong written and oral communication skills  - Manage through influence   - Ability to work across functions and departments  - Experience with interpreting qualitative and quantitative research would be added advantage
