Chief Manager - Finance


JOB SUMMARY :


- Service the customers with speedy and accurate payouts with responsibility for end-to-end payment processing for Policyholders/ Death claims/ Group business payouts and employees

- Leading high impact cross functional Projects

- Enabling timely closure of books of accounts on Monthly/Quarterly in compliance to statutory requirements

- Managing Audits, Compliances & Reporting

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Policy Holder Payouts & Unclaimed Management

- Transform the PH payouts with best in class processes with minimal TAT and requisite controls

- Manage policyholder benefits for over 14 lacs transaction ( ~INR 5000 Crs) annually as per strict SLA's with accurate accounting and provisioning of expenses

- Manage end to end customer service (Payouts related) that includes customer complaints, grievance resolution

- Continue leadership position of Max Life in minimal Unclaimed balances & associate IRDA reporting

Group Company Transactions

- Responsible for execution of Group company transactions (receipts as well as payments) in interactions with Functional Heads, Legal, Taxation and Finance heads of other group companies, documentations of transactions and agreement creation

- Reconciliation of group company transactions along with quarter end balance confirmation

- Ensuring a single version of truth on Actual amount involved and supporting to Taxation and Financial Reporting teams with accurate amounts for further reporting in Financial Statements and Board reporting

- Front ending with Stat/Internal auditors and getting clearance

Audits, Inspection & Reporting

- Monthly closing & accounting, Quarterly/annual Stat Audit without any observation

- Building adequate checks and controls ensuring no signification observations from Internal Audits conducted around payment processes

- Dealing with IRDA Audits, Compliances & reporting of data, reports etc. with aim to have Nil observation

People Agenda & Stakeholder Management

- Lead consistent engagement with stakeholders including Internal ( All department heads & teams, GOs) and External (Policyholders, Agents, Group Entities etc.)

- Lead the team with high motivation level and enabling interventions to build it to serve the Policyholders and Internal Customers

- Eye for detail ensuring process excellence

Desired qualification and experience :

- Graduate or post graduate preferably from accounting background with minimum experience of 10 years

- Good knowledge on accounting, IRDA regulations, relating to the job profile as applicable

- Agility to lead and implement projects involving stakeholders from cross departments in the Organization

- Understand intricacies of any decision on stakeholders and Policyholders at large

- Ability to handle pressure and work in a competitive environment
