Job Description : Position : AVP - Products Department : Products Reporting to : VP - Products & Channel Marketing Location : Gurgaon HO JOB SUMMARY : The job holder will be primarily responsible for engaging and enabling sales and managing the bottom line Matrix of life insurance products in a channel. Key Responsibilities: Product Development & Management Continuously ideate on new product/existing product selling strategies with the distribution teams both internal and channel partner along with their Product teams by using any or all of the methods given below. Ideation exercise / workshop done with channel heads / sellers / customers (Initiate/Facilitate) Desktop research - New concepts / design workshop with reinsurers - Facilitate/Initiate (As the need be) - Create business case documents for new products and obtain sign off from distribution leaders. - Interpret impact of regulations on new products. Ensure compliance for new products - Find solutions for complex system & process requirements/ workarounds and enable operational readiness before launch, by orchestration along with 8-9 different departments - IRDA discussions/ negotiations and response to queries, decisions thereof/ alternatives to be proposed by PCM, thereafter convincing and aligning Channel Head and/or Distribution partners - Ensure Impactful Launch, adhering to New Product Development lifecycle, of New products/ Sales concepts Channel Management: Single point contact for executing all product related strategies for a channel like: - Product mix at channel level - Driving discussions and actions thereof on NBM for a channel through specific products/initiatives - Product drive to push top line in various seller segments - Co-create product related interventions to impact business with the help of training & marketing teams - Represent product team in all national/ Zonal channel feedback - Other Activities(This list may more or less exhaustive than the line items given below, depending upon the channel need) - Create Sales concepts bundled with Bank's core products - Story rendition and articulation basis the customer and seller profile of the channel. - Basis the channel need, create an integrated quarterly theme consisting of new sales stories to drive case size and conversion - Conduct quarterly survey to collect stakeholders - Develop sales tools for product/ segments with Support from marketing team - Supporting organization wide projects like driving - protection products sales - Publish monthly engagement dashboard report to all stake-holders - Ensure product recertification within agreed timelines Important Aspects Related to Job Role: 1) Major Challenges : - Impact without authority: influencing a large cross functional team which consist of members most of the time senior than the incumbent: Goal sheet alignment of the SPOC - Managing multiple expectations: Product channel managers are expected to create new products, align all the stakeholders, conduct TTT for new products, conduct interventions in low performing patches and also participate in new growth opportunities: weekly planning and governance with CFT to set expectations. Incumbent has the responsibility to manage the PCM team reporting as well. 2) Decisions expected : - What will be the new product specification, how will it be set up and behave during its life cycle - What will be the Launch date and readiness for the new product launch 3) Recommendations expected - Which is the next product to be created for the channel - Issues in the product take up in the channel and course correction 4) Dimensions List the data which indicates the size of your jobs output, or which indicates the scope of the operation or activity on which your job has a direct or indirect impact: - The candidate has direct or indirect impact on the complete top-line and bottom line of the channel.
