Job Role - Manager - Data Scientist  - The Decision Sciences Lab churns data and algorithms using cutting edge tools such as SPSS Modeller / R / Rapid Miner, Big Data Anaytics, Cognos, Spago BI, Mondrian, etc.   - Typically, the team uses an array of techniques such as Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Neural Networks, Regression Analysis, Clustering techniques to deliver some of the most important works such as creating recommendation engines, segment based strategies, fraud analytics, etc.   - Most of the members of this team have joined for passion for leveraging data and learning such technologies / statistics on the way.   - A few common traits are intelligence, courage, innovation, hard work and a drive for grabbing opportunities to excel.   The manager will lead a team of junior Data Scientists.  Job Description:  - Guide and improve procedures and strategy for entire statistical prediction of future business drivers.   - Interact with business managers to analyze and interpret business needs.   - Integrate models in marketing and other strategies and ensure to share findings like main model drivers.   - Consult and convey statistical modeling results as well as business measures impact to all internal business partners plus executives.   - Manage statistical models application in live production environment.   - Testing and measure effectiveness of entire new statistical approaches as well as process improvements.   - Ensure best quality standards are used through quantitative and logical quality checks.   - Contribute to development of cutting-edge data modeling and mining environment using latest software tools plus technologies.   - Perform as main user, direct continuing database infrastructure development for optimizing modeling.  Preferred Skills / Qualification:  - Post Graduation Degree in Statistics from a reputed institution. MBA is an added advantage.   - 5-8 years of statistical analysis/ programming experience on large datasets preferably in Govt or BFSI. Other sectors can include CPG/Retail.   - Proficiency in using SPSS Modeller, R, SAS   - Application level Exposure to most or at least some of the key techniques of Statistical/ Predictive Modeling- Logistic Regression, Response Models, Bayesian Methods, Time Series Forecasting, Panel Regression   - Working knowledge of SQL and popular relational databases   - Self-motivated and able to sustain himself/herself without direct supervision   - Strong analytical, presentation & persuasive abilities with excellent interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills   - Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations, strong critical thinking skills, innovative and ability to be decisive while working cooperatively with others  - Able to communicate, influence, and reason effectively with business and technical partners to deliver quality solutions to meet business objectives.
