Designation : AGM / GM Merchandising/ Buying   Role : Head- Merchandising/ Buying   Reporting to : Head- Tambulya  Brief Description about the role:   - Responsible for meeting key business metrics and driving aggressive sourcing performance, ensure that commercial yet profitable product ranges are bought in order to maximise profit and sales.  Skill sets :   - Leadership skills  - Business sense and negotiation skills  - Strong quantitative skills and use of excel is necessary.  - Capable of making & implementing systems.  - Must have a strong desire to test and learn about consumer buying patterns  - Excellent communication skills with Proficiency in Hindi and English; Being multilingual is an advantage  Core Competencies :   - Tendering attitude towards regular product sources & development.  - Creative ability to merchandise & arranging the items as per need.  - Ability to influence suppliers & traders, proved in past assignments.  - Attitude towards time bound delivery in very versatile environment as per need  - Ability to work both at strategic level and operational one.  - Open for traveling throughout the country.  Key Deliverable :  - Sourcing products for Tambulya business based on seasons, occasions and customer requirements time to time  - Planning & coordinating the costing, quality and quantity of the items  - Regular & Increased engagement with the potential customers / sources in locale  - Maintaining data on all customer interactions, analysing and publishing trends  - Forecasting profits and sales, and optimizing the sales volume and profitability of designated product areas  - Planning budgets and presenting sales forecasts and figures for new ranges;  - Scouting for vendors; aligning TOTs with vendors or trading terms.  - Considers all relevant issues affecting market penetration, revenue generation and commercial viability of new products.  - Makes balanced risk-decisions based on objectives and parameters for success in selecting merchandise.   - Leading a team of Category Managers, who take care of sourcing/ buying in their respective categories.  - Develops financial plans that are consistent with organizational strategies and accurately reflect marketplace conditions.   - Communicating with Department managers at regular intervals and fulfill their Stock Requirements on time  - Analyzing and maintaining statistics to determine the level of customer service
