Responsibilities :
- Develop data-driven business insights and narratives to identify opportunities, generate new hypotheses, and define business strategies through a deep understanding of the data, our customers, and our business
- Setting up metrics for measuring business/operational performance and responsible for tracking its improvement. Standardising the metric definition.
- Measure impact of experiments related to various functions, analysing and helping in course correction.
- Recommending solutions based on analytical findings. Defining new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve business performance.
- Analytical articulation of a business or operations problem statement and using data analysis to understand the complexity of the problem and broad contours of potential solution(s).
- Design and analyze experiments to to measure the impact of new processes and drive decision-making
- Building processes for new experiments/initiatives ensuring ease of use, data hygiene and efficiency
- Collaborate with engineers to ensure and improve data access and reliability
Required Skills :
- Analytical thinking, problem solving and a high level of comfort with numbers
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google sheets, MySQL, R/python, analysing & visualizing large data sets
- Strong foundations in statistical methods
- A keen sense of business and attention to detail. Understanding of and being sensitive to the needs and challenges of stakeholders
- Communication - both verbal and written.
Experience and Education Required :
- 1-3 years of experience in analytics, preferably in a consumer facing tech company
- Bachelor's degree in engineering/math/physics from a top-tier school
