Overview

The GBSC (Global Business Services Center) is the shared services organization for Mastercard. Consistent with the One LFI model, GBSC is partnering with the Law and Franchise Integrity team to build a compliance shared services function.

The Director - GBSC Compliance will develop and lead a shared services team tasked with supporting key regulatory and compliance program activities. The GBSC Compliance team will help operate the company's third party risk management program, support employee and customer monitoring, auditing and assessment functions, and certain regulatory filing obligations.

Role

- Build and lead a shared services team that will be responsible for conducting AML, Sanctions, and Export Alert dispositions, Customer onboarding and monitoring, Quality Assurance testing, data analytics, and reporting. The team will also be responsible for tracking and escalating employees who have not completed required compliance training, and for compliance risk data collection and reporting

- Provide continuous oversight of shared services team deliverables through aging and user performance reporting to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.

- Establish and maintain policies and procedures governing the team's areas of responsibility.

- Provide Global Compliance Program tracking and metrics to identify trends and establish action items for program preservation and enhancements; provide regular reporting to Global Compliance team, including deliverables and SLAs.

- Provide ongoing expertise to GBSC Compliance team.

- Provide subject matter expertise and manage processes and projects.

All About You

- Bachelor's degree required; Advanced Degree preferred

- Must have experience managing a geographically dispersed team of professionals tasked with multiple responsibilities

- Expert knowledge of AML, BSA, USA PATRIOT Act and OFAC controls and requirements

- Experience working and managing within a Compliance shared services group highly desired

- Knowledge of financial operations, transaction processing and/or payments-related industry experience is preferred

- Sound judgment with ability to build rapport at all levels, and in all business units; proven ability to persuade and drive results

- Proven ability to work independently or as a team player and function effectively in a dynamic, fast paced environment while handling multiple projects and consistently meeting deadlines

- Superior attention to detail, problem-solving, organizational and written/verbal communication skills

- ACAMS Certification preferred
