Masai School - Placement Specialist (4-6 yrs)

Masai School, a series A funded EdTech startup is looking for a Placement Specialist with experience in the technology (software/IT) industry to join the placement vertical & take on full responsibility for working and expanding our hiring partner network while handling outgoing students for their placement.

What is expected of you :

- Provide career services to our graduating students

- Help create & review resumes/cover letters

- Help create & review student profiles on job portals

- Conduct mock interviews and provide structured feedback

- Understand individual student strengths & weaknesses

- Help students identify relevant roles & opportunities

- Provide feedback & direction to students after interviews

- Provide career counseling as needed

- Plan hiring events

- Set up placement week(s) for each graduating batch

- Run placement process on an ongoing basis for remaining students

- Help alumni in need of placement due to any reason

- Work with the curriculum team

- Receive feedback from recruiters & convey to the curriculum team

- Analyse patterns in feedback if any & share with the curriculum team

- Conduct and present competitive analyses and market research

- Identify industry trends and insights

- Partner with the BD team

- Requirement planning

- Onboarding new partners

- Take charge of the relationships with our hiring partners

- Network with employers

- Ideate & execute strategies to grow the hiring partner network

- Effectively communicate new developments to current & prospective clients

- Research job trends

- Translate ideas to actionable items that deliver business results

- Analyse, recommend and lead the implementation of growth initiatives

What you will need to bring :

- 5-7 years of work experience in tech hiring

- Track record in establishing & maintaining client relationships

- Experience dealing with entry-level candidates

- Knowledge of internet-based recruiting tools

- Strong technical orientation, keeping abreast with latest technologies

- Passion to work with people, help them along with their careers

- High standards of excellence and attention to detail

- Excellent written & verbal communication skills

You will be expected to

- Think on your feet

- Not be scared of coming up with new ideas

- Learn quickly

- Be able to use data gathered from your experiments to draw conclusions

A successful candidate will be

- Passionate about making a difference with their work

- Self-starter with the ability to effectively work autonomously with little oversight

- Equipped with strong fundamentals but flexible & willing to experiment

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Bonus if you have

- Prior experience working as a Software Developer

- Experience collaborating with marketing & tech teams

- A desire to level the playing field
