We will count on you to: - Life and annuity product development, modeling, valuation, and analysis support - Pricing assumption and model methodology review, including benchmarking to applicable industry and peer experience - Mergers & acquisitions due diligence including assumption review, model build, and development of projected US statutory distributable earnings and Actuarial Appraisal Value - Long Duration Targeted Improvements (- LDTI- ) modeling and implementation support - Transformation of pre and post actuarial model data and processes, including systems and financial reporting integration, analytics, and workflow - Actuarial model conversions and optimization - Long-term care assumption development, in-force block management, modeling, and product development - Client and industry presentations, surveys, case studies and marketing support - Development and maintenance of intellectual capital What you need to have: - Near-ASA to FSA (or equivalent exams with any other recognized Actuarial body) with 5+ years of experience - Track record of rapid learning, high performance, and professional growth - US life, annuity and/or LTC technical experience and/or regulatory knowledge - Experience with actuarial modeling software Prophet a. Familiarity with Prophet Professional, Prophet model objects, and run execution mechanics b. Prophet model development experience c. Experience with one or more of the following libraries: US 360, North American (NA US), International, Conventional, Unit Linked, Summary d. Experience leading significant model implementations / conversions e. Experience guiding and developing junior modelers f. Strong understanding of Prophet coding and design best practices and industry conventions g. Experience with Prophet model review and optimization h. Good understanding of effective Prophet model governance - Strong written and oral communication skills - Excellent project management and time management skills - Ability to work independently and direct junior staff - Understanding of the value of collaboration, and the ability to work effectively in a team setting - Deep critical-thinking skills and problem-solving ability - Highly motivated individual and willingness to work in a dynamic environment - Strong technical knowledge of MS Excel, MS Access or other database software, VBA or other programming languages What makes you stand out? - Experience leading model development workstreams - Experience with ALS - particularly external liabilities - Exposure to the broader Prophet suite - particularly DCS, Prophet Enterprise, and Assumptions Manager - Experience with other Actuarial modelling software's such as GGY AXIS
