MMGS is a global knowledge centre for Marsh McLennan and houses teams, which collaborate closely with the colleagues across various operating units and locations. The Knowledge Services function under MMGS aims to provide specialized services in the domain of Research, Consulting, Data Analytics, Data Science, Actuarial and Design.

The Emerging Risks Group (ERG) is one of the fastest growing verticals under the Strategic Risk Consulting arm of Marsh Advisory and work in areas of Cyber, Climate, Supply Chain, Geopolitics, and other portfolio of risks. The ERG collaborates closely with the actuarial colleagues to build and run models to deliver client projects.

- Contribute on projects ranging from Cyber Risk Consulting to ESG Risk

- Perform and develop a wide variety of financial and statistical analysis to help Marsh's clients.

- Help build models to support stress tests across different lines of businesses and industries.

- Work with industry leaders across different business lines to develop and mature consulting practice.

- Help build out the value proposition for emerging risks.

- Opportunity to lead and deliver client engagements and contributing to bespoke model building.

- Drive innovation, build and mature modeling approaches for stress tests and portfolio risks.

- Conduct analysis, research and reporting to interpret, validate and reconcile complex data.

- Perform extensive research to augment the quantitative and quantitative outputs with market intelligence.

- Work alongside team members to ensure the timely completion of deliverables.

Will count on you to:

- Support the Advisory business on live projects by building bespoke models, running existing models and deriving insights, learn about emerging risks and work on innovative research around innovative topics.

- Support consulting projects in areas such as like:

a. Cyber - Enhance and build cyber stress testing models, drive projects in cyber, D&O, E&O, etc. stress tests to estimate client's exposure based on frequency and severity analysis, identify, and leverage existing and new datasets for building bespoke models, etc.

b. Supply Chain - Develop approaches to quantify supply chain risks for a given industry and client, setup and perform stress tests, address interdependencies of risks, etc.

c. Climate Change - Projects that work towards quantifying physical and transition risk for clients, etc.

- Conduct research on the client's risk areas and prepare a point of view for consulting.

- Build specialization in various domains of risk as per interest and choice.

What you need to have:

The candidate must possess the following attributes:

- MS in economics / business / finance / Statistics / Econometrics etc. or Engineering + MBA from a reputed university or college

- Background in Actuarial knowledge either on account of qualification or considerable work experience

- Adaptive learner with a keen interest in risk - anticipation, identification, mitigation, and management

- Build risk quantification frameworks (as per project requirements)

- Ability to draw insights by weaving qualitative and quantitative data points into an actionable story board.

- Effective communicator who can consult with a diverse set of project team members.

- Should be proficient in MS Office stack - Word, PowerPoint, Excel and PowerBI

- Comfortable with programming languages such as Python, R and/or VBA

- Strong analytical, critical thinking skills and experience

- Understating of insurance and risk management including Monte Carlo simulations, VaR, TVaR, etc.

- Having worked on industry databases like Cap IQ, Bloomberg, Market Intelligence Factiva, S&P databases, A.M Best Insurance service
