Markit - AVP - Index Operations - Index Administration Service

Department overview :

Position summary :

- The successful candidate will be working as part of the global Index Administration Services team which is responsible for the research, validation and maintenance of index methodologies and overseeing the accurate implementation of the index review results of custom indices. Within this team the candidate with be leading the oversight and management of the index administration processes ensure the continued correct implementation of index rules.

Duties & accountabilities :

- Interpretation and analyzing impact of regulatory requirements on new business

- Review index methodologies and manage the accurate operate implementation of it

- Ensuring operational processes and procedures comply with regulatory requirements

- Coordinating with internal stakeholders the appropriate implementation of controls

- Responsible for the error and incident management process and the reporting of it

Business competencies :

Education and experience :

- Graduate degree in a financial discipline or equivalent

- Experience with Indices or financial instruments used as underlying for financial products

- Very good and relevant operational experience

- Preferable IT skills (Python, SQL)

Commercial awareness :

- Experience with control procedures, the implementation and compliance with various regulatory frameworks
