Company profile: Assembly Luggage

Assembly Luggage (www.theassembly.in) We are an emerging eCommerce brand in the luggage space and growing well. Our design philosophy is to create products that make the travel experience better, enabling smoother transit & better organization on a trip. Our core distribution & marketing channels are digital, with specific emphasis on direct-to-consumer (own website).

Why are we @ Assembly having a promising future?

1. It's a great time to build an eCommerce brand in India - lots of investment going to building eCommerce brands because eCommerce & social media has given a new route for people to build new brands, which in the traditional distribution or mass media environments was almost impossible to do. So the process has become more democratized & technical, allowing for new players to emerge in each category.

You can go through this great article showing why eCommerce brands have grown so well in the US -

- and are now showing traction in India.

2. In our industry i.e. Luggage - it has been an oligopoly with some large players like VIP, Samsonite, Safari, etc who have done very well over many decades. But newer players have not had a chance until now because entry barriers to make luggage & sell it have always been high. The fact that we are able to create happy customers through our initial work gives us great confidence - we keep updating our HU testimonials here - https://www.theassembly.in/pages/happy-users

3. We are backed by 2 strong players that give us all the capabilities we need. On the manufacturing side, we are invested by Novex - http://www.novexluggage.com/ - which is one of the leading luggage manufacturing companies in India independent of those large brands. We are also incubated by https://www.consumerx.co/ - which is one of the leading eCommerce enabler companies in India. Their company https://www.commercex.com/ is well known in the eCommerce industry.
