Job Title: Officer - Corporate Communication

Job Function: Marketing

Reports to: Associate Director-Marketing

Job Summary :

This position this position will be responsible for Corporate Communication, Brand Building Activities, Marketing Outreach Programs, Digital Marketing, Compliance, Marketing services, MIS & Marketing expense tracking. With business expansion, we expect this profile to increasingly contribute to the business requirements & engagements.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

30% Public Relations :

- Conducts and manages the public relations process for campaigns.

- Conducts and manages the public relations process for product specific strategies eg. High Flex knees.

5% Advertising :

- Prepares copy and submits to publications such as APHA journal/AOA journal for both paid advertisements and promotional copy in line with Companies communication policy and after seeking clearance from authorized personnel in Region/Global.

- Advises Associate Director - Marketing on advertising strategy and implements the same after obtaining the necessary approval.

20% Managing Companies website content :

- Updates and maintains Companies India website with Companies activities such as MIS Institute training, future events, price lists, Fellowship information, links to other appropriate websites, catalogued web conferences etc, in order to make Companies

- Updates and maintains the Companies links for sales and marketing to ensure a database of clinical articles, brochures, surgical techniques and Companies marketing activities is available to the sales team, to ensure this web location is the effective sales and information tool for the sales team.

- Advises Associate Director - Marketing of additional web based promotional activities and implements the same after obtaining the necessary approval.

15% Production of Corporate Newsletters :

- At the direction of the HR Manager, produces the Newsletters to ensure that 10 editions are produced annually - in both print and online versions, including liaison with Product Managers, graphic designer and organizing distribution. Log responses and distributes to sales force.

- Maintains library of previous editions for reference purposes.

25% Managing Companies Trade Display Program :

- At the direction of the Associate Director - Marketing, manages process of committing to conference, organizing stand space and payment, and liaising with stand builders.

- Produces on stand promotional material such as posters, leaflets, giveaways etc.

- Organize for brochures, surgical techniques, samples etc to be delivered to trade display, in conjunction with Product Managers.

- Provide assistance to Associate Director - Marketing in budgeting for Trade Show Expenses.

- Liaise with Associate Director - Marketing and stand display company to revamp Companies trade display stand as required.

- Weekly review of conferences with Associate Director - Marketing.

3% Review Companies Mailing List quarterly to ensure mailing list for Surgeon's is correct. Liases with Sales Team and IT to correct database in accuracies.

2% Manages discretionary expense budget within corporate guidelines and policies. Assist Associate Director - Marketing with budgeting for these activities.

100 Total Percent (not to exceed 100%)

- Individual percents should be greater than or equal to 5%.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. KSAs)

Essential :

- Relevant undergraduate tertiary qualifications eg. communications, business, commerce etc.

- Previous marketing communications experience eg. public relations, advertising.

- Proven ability to manage expenses budget.

- Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of the existing marketing team.

- Ability to absorb technical information and present it succinctly in an educational forum.

- High level of computer knowledge and expertise.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Strong business acumen.

- A high degree of professionalism.

- An interest in orthopedics and medical devices.

Desirable :

- Previous website content management.

- Relevant post-graduate qualification eg. Graduate Diploma in Marketing, MBA etc.

- Previous operating theatre experience.

- Knowledge of and / or experience with the Indian healthcare systems.

- Previous sales experience in the medical industry.

Education/ Experience Requirements :

- A graduate degree (preferably Mass Communication / Media) with 3+ Years of experience in Media Industry.

Travel Requirements : 30% of the time.
