Urgently require a Marketing Development Manager for a global US diversified science company, providing a wide variety of innovative products for direct consumer applications in the manufacturing, agriculture and high technology markets.

Designation - Marketing Development Manager

Location - Bangalore

Emoluments - 24 Lacs

Job Responsibilities:

- Create and lead execution of the Ignition plan that supports the overall Venture Plan for new product commercialization

- Lead pre-launch demand creation (growers and influencers) and knowledge transfer (sales team, growers, influencers, retailers) of new products.

- Lead knowledge transfer and product support post launch for a defined period

- Lead a large team area marketing managers for the strategic demand generation efforts for all brands.

- Create the ignition plan that supports the overall plan developed by the Venture Lead

- Takes direction from the Venture Lead and marketing on overall Venture objectives, strategies and marketing plan.

- Utilize customer segmentation and segment prioritization to identify the best targets for demand creation and knowledge transfer (key growers, influencers, technical channel members)

- Define the activities (demonstrations, sampling programs, site visits, seminars, field days etc.) that achieve the best results within the objectives of the launch plan (Objectives may include some or all of the following: offering awareness, comprehension, predisposition, active inquiries, intent to purchase, satisfaction rate, re-purchase rate, spray calendar inclusion)

Lead and orchestrate resources:

- Lead direct team members (Full time and contract employees) to play their respective role in executing the ignition plan. Provide specific direction, coaching and support for team members

- Develops an important network of external resources (independent contractors, channel members, technical teams, government extension, others) for maximum market coverage and influence.

- Utilize budgets (Out of pocket expenses, direct team expenses, product sample costs) for maximum market impact

- Work collaboratively with R&D and Marketing

- Works with R&D to understand the technical performance and fit of new products

- Utilizes a strong understanding of grower needs to define the best customer targets for the specific product

- Provides feedback to Portfolio leads on potential improvements that are important to targeted customers (Product Delivery, use timing, rates, crops, pests etc)

- Provides specific customer insights (translating offering attributes to customer benefits) to support and improve the development of Product Positioning, Value Proposition and other Marketing Mix elements

- Build long term processes and competence within the organization

- Uses measures for feedback and to improve performance (Efficient use of resources, most effective methods and combinations of activities)

Education Qualification, Experience and Skills required :

- An MBA from any premier institute with science related basic degree (e.g. B.Sc. in one of the agricultural sciences).

- Experience of minimum 5 years working in marketing area.

- Ability to influence, negotiate and build networks of collaborators.

- Proven track record of strong relationship management

- Capability (experience preferred) to build and lead a regional team.

- Interpersonal communication skills that are effective and result in shared understanding and a high degree of respect and value for people

- A high level of planning and organizing skills for self and team. Project management experience preferred.

- Good analytical skills

- Prioritizing the use of resources for optimum business results

- Ability to network with others in a mutually positive and effective manner

- Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a preference

Trainings / certification till date : SMP / DMX training is not essential but candidates who already have been exposed to it is a bonus

Additional Information like Six-Sigma etc :

Six Sigma Black Belt certification is a preference

Key interfaces : (eg – distributors, retailers) :

- Majorly interact with farmers but understand the pulse of the market with regular interaction with distributors and retailers in that geography.

- Generating Consumer insights and competition insights is a critical part of the job profile

Percentage Travel: 50 % time will be allocated to travel at the minimum
