Job Description

- Overall ownership of testing of in-house Scenario analysis system improvements

- Assisting the team in improving the quality of the scenario numbers and ensuring that this development is implemented in the best way possible

- Design and specification of functional improvements to existing tactical and strategic IT applications used for Scenario analysis (actual development and maintenance of applications is carried out by a dedicated IT team)

- Continuous review of existing processes in order to improve controls and efficiency of process

- Assessing existing tactical applications in relations to incorporating into the strategic development work streams

- Testing Scenario analysis Front Office system developments within Scenario systems

- Coordination and involvement in the new business sign-off process in order to establish the implications on Scenarios analysis systems

- Tracking of system performance against key metrics

Individual

- Degree qualification essential with preferably a post graduate qualification in IT/finance related field

- At least 2 years of Banking/Market Risk UAT testing experience with strong emphasis on reporting essential - preferably within a risk management department

- Strong exposure to review/analysis/improvement/testing cycle of IT systems - preferably risk related

- Professional qualification in software testing an advantage, although not essential

- Highly numerate and analytical

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

- Ability to work independently

- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines

- Understanding of system dependencies and the impact on report generation

- Strong Excel skills, exposure to VBA for Excel and Quality Center

- Strong controls awareness essential

- Basic understanding of options and derivatives
