About our Client - Our client is a global fruit brand and engages in purchase, export and marketing of the fruit as well, supplemented by a Global presence and an ever-increasing India footprint. They are well-equipped at the grass root level to develop a sustainable business and poised to challenge the Industry leaders in the space, and need a Market Development Associate based out of the Delhi NCR.

Job Description - Reporting to the Market Development Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for Identifying potential to launch/scale up business in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities across the North India market

- Developing and implementing marketing and on ground activation

- Identifying, appointing and growing the wholesaler network in potential Tier 2 and 3 towns

- Developing a good relationship with existing retailers and distribution partners, service providers, governmental departments and all company stakeholders

- Develop/implement specific customer and trade marketing plans to grow year round demand for the product

- Ensure brand consistency throughout the region

- Ensure that short term optimization decisions are balanced with medium and long term market strategies

- Ensure strong customer focus with empathy - understand what the customer wants, when they want it and why they want it this way

- Develop relationships with key modern retailers & street vendors to build demand

- Develop genuine business relationships with all stakeholders

The Successful Candidate - You will be a Post Graduate with around 3-5 years of work experience in a Brand Management / Marketing /Trade marketing space (ideally in the Retail/B2C Industry) and a sound entrepreneurial and commercial acumen. You will possess superior networking abilities (internal and external, across cultures) with a world-class customer focus and proven track record of consistently identifying and meeting customer needs is a must. You should possess strong persuasion / influencing skills, with the ability to gain clear commitment from a wide range of individuals, including customers and senior management . Personal flexibility, with the capacity for driving or responding to change, dealing with ambiguity, and adapting to suit different circumstances / cultures etc alongside advanced planning and organizing skills, including resource planning and performance monitoring against milestones will be ideal.
