Brief about the role: This role is for a SaaS start-up based in Hyderabad. He/she will be part of the core team and will work closely with the founders to ideate, design & build the product(s). We are looking for a talented designer with entrepreneurial mindset and experience in researching & designing UI for complex products from scratch. About us: - MapleMonk is a nascent stage start-up working to build a suite of analytical products that will transform the way businesses deal with their data. 'Raw data to insights with ease' has been talked about by many but has not been completely solved by anyone because of the complex & dynamic nature of the data and rapidly changing business needs. MapleMonk is all set to solve this with its no/low-code end to end data management & analytics platform. - We are funded by well-established analytics consulting firm and have excellent support from their ecosystem giving the start-up a good head start. Both the founders are graduates from IIT, have proven experience in analytics industry and are looking to create an exciting, talented & creative core team of designers and developers to design, build & scale the products. We are currently building our first product by partnering with a technology firm and are expecting to soft-launch it by Mar- 21. Responsibilities: - Lead & own the entire product design process & deliverables that include ideation, primary & secondary user research, persona creation, story boarding, low & high-fidelity prototype creation etc. - Collaborate with founders, customers to conceptualize different modules of the product(s) - Understand the users, their behavior, pain points through research, data analysis etc. and incorporate findings in the product design - Translate complex use cases/problem statement to intuitive & easy to use interfaces suitable for all kinds of users (beginners to experts) and share all necessary collaterals with the product development team - Support the product development team with any design requirements throughout the development lifecycle - Build and lead a great team of UX/UI designers as we grow Ideal candidate: - Minimum of 2 years of experience in designing products (preferably SaaS products) - Quick learner, problem-solver and should always have glass half-full attitude - Strong knowledge on design principles - Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Photoshop) - Expert in using wireframing and prototyping tools - Excellent time-management, multi-tasking, and communication skills - Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus - Graduate from Tier 1 college and a degree in design is an added advantage
