About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned and results-oriented Manufacturing/Production Manager to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete production process of our automotive lines, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to rigorous industry standards. You will lead a team of skilled professionals, implement continuous improvements, and drive operational excellence in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement production plans and schedules to meet delivery deadlines and quality requirements.
- Manage and optimize production processes, identifying and implementing workflow improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Oversee the procurement and inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.
- Ensure strict adherence to all quality control procedures and maintain industry-leading quality standards.
- Manage performance of the production team, providing coaching, training, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a safe and productive work environment, enforcing all safety regulations and procedures.
- Monitor and analyze production data and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and reporting key performance indicators to senior management.
- Liaise with engineering, purchasing, and quality departments to ensure seamless collaboration and problem-solving.
- Manage production budgets and costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and optimization.
- Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives, implementing lean manufacturing principles and adopting new technologies.
- Represent the production department in meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Technology degree in Automotive Engineering or Industrial Engineering is required.
- Minimum of 7 years to 15 years of experience in a production management role within the automotive industry, preferably with experience in relevant vehicle segments.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully improving production efficiency, quality, and cost control.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop your team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and automotive production software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Experience with Six Sigma or other quality improvement methodologies is a plus.
