Broad Responsibilities:
This role has strong play in the international Retail format and the following provides broad scope of the role:-
- Review/Assess retailer’s existing operating policies, procedures and practices - evaluating alignment with Business Strategy and the larger Corporate Vision.
- Identify key challenges/pain points with retailer/s - analyze root cause of business challenges, uncover the concealed opportunities as well as threats in a manner that you can provide actionable business solutions which in turn maximize business goals.
- Review & address operational and tactical concerns, providing recommendations for improved business processes across product management, pricing decisions, promotion management and space optimization.
- Analyze and provide business advice on operations, the buying and merchandising retail spectrum which includes Store Clustering, Space Productivity, Loss Prevention Audit, Promotion Audit, Pricing Audit, Category Review, Vendor Assessment, Product Lifecycle, New Store Opening, New Product Launch , Category Management Processes.
- Help retailers achieve measurable and sustainable performance improvement in their business operations by providing actionable insights.
- Document findings and present to CxO’s.
PRE-REQUISITES FOR THE ROLE:
- Bachelors Degree + MBA.
- Experienced Retail practitioner with in-depth understanding of retail business processes and industry best practices for Food & Grocery as wells as Fashion.
- Around 8+ years or relevant experience in Retail Planning/Buying/Merchandising/Supply Chain/Brand Management with at least 2 years of experience as a Business Advisor or Consultant in this domain.
- Exposure to retail technologies
- Understand the sources of data in retail
- Exposure/Understanding of BI tools would be a significant plus.
- Inherently excited about working in an entrepreneurial environment with marquee retailers across the world.
- Possess above par communication and presentation skills
