Manjushree Ventures - Senior Analyst - Venture Capital

Position Overview:

As a Senior Analyst for a Venture Capital (VC) firm, with 4-6 years of experience and a background in engineering, your primary role is to play a pivotal part in the investment team's efforts to identify and evaluate potential investment opportunities within the Technology and ClimateTech sectors. Your previous experience provides you with a strong foundation in investment analysis, due diligence, and deal execution. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting the firm's investment decision-making process and driving successful investments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Investment Analysis:

a) Utilize your experience in investment analysis to evaluate potential investment opportunities thoroughly.

b) Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including revenue projections, profitability assessment, and financial modeling, to assess the potential return on investment.

c) Apply your technical knowledge to evaluate the feasibility and scalability of the technology and engineering solutions offered by target companies.

2. Market Research:

a) Leverage your market research skills to identify key trends and opportunities within the technology and engineering sectors.

b) Stay up-to-date with industry developments, emerging technologies, and market dynamics to provide valuable insights to the investment team.

3. Due Diligence:

a) Utilize your experience in due diligence to perform comprehensive assessments of potential investment targets.

b) Collaborate with the investment team to validate financial and operational information provided by the target companies.

c) Conduct technical due diligence to assess the technical viability and potential risks of the target company's products or services.

4. Investment Recommendations:

a) Prepare well-structured and data-driven investment memos and presentations for senior management and investment committees.

b) Present your findings and investment recommendations confidently during investment meetings and discussions.

5. Portfolio Management:

a) Leverage your prior experience to assist in monitoring and tracking the performance of the existing portfolio companies.

b) Provide strategic and operational support to portfolio companies, drawing upon your engineering background to address technical challenges.

6. Deal Sourcing and Networking:

a) Utilize your industry knowledge and network to actively source potential investment opportunities.

b) Strengthen and expand your existing relationships with entrepreneurs, industry experts, and other stakeholders within the technology and engineering sectors.

Requirements:

a) Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.

b) 4-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or a related field.

c) Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical and financial information.

d) Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.

e) In-depth knowledge of venture capital, private equity, and startup ecosystems.

f) Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate findings and recommendations clearly.
