Project Manager - Product Development & Technology Solutions
Description:
- The candidate has to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-parties or consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. The candidate will also define the project's objectives and oversee quality control throughout its life cycle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business/products goals in Collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Define and assess application architecture and development technology stack.
- Serve as the technical lead in all client meetings.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Project Management of Products and Solutions across Design, Development, Testing and Delivery.
- Manage and supervise the Technical Automation portion of all assigned projects in Premedia and New Media verticals from design to delivery. This would include all design and programming aspects of a project including tools integration, Liaising and utilizing the services of third party services and resources as required.
- Candidate should have experience of software development lifecycle. Candidate should have the ability to work & lead team under work pressure and apply skills of programming, project management and client relationship building.
- Ability to operate across multiple projects concurrently and assume the responsibility for the appropriate technical and architectural implementation of projects.
- Working with clients and advising them on key architectural decisions concerning the platform and the supporting technologies.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to development team and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Responsible for internal Product UAT's.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises and devise contingency plans.
- Develop Technical Specification for Products.
- Define project / product success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Liaison with Software development teams.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Develop and deliver project progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation and presentations.
Job Specifications:
- 5+ years of technical consultancy and Project management experience on custom designed, full lifecycle application development projects and leadership experience in a software development organization.
- Must have at least 3 years of experience working throughout the Planning, design, development, and release cycle delivering software solutions to market.
- Experience of implementing/delivering Mobile application / Enterprise application projects would be an added advantage.
- Experience evaluating new technologies for their appropriateness to proposed solutions, including assessing their strategic and/or tactical benefit to the product.
- Client management and team management skills.
- Broad technical knowledge of system designing, application architecture and object-oriented programming.
- Creative approach to problem solving.
- Qualified candidate needs to possess excellent skills in oral, presentation, and written communication, handle various challenges with an ability to solve them and thus possess ability to think outside the box within a dynamic and fast paced work environment.
