KRA's:-
As a managing editor, you will edit reports and manage publications through production. Your responsibilities will include:
- Review report proposals and reports against quality criteria; provide feedback to authors to help improve proposal/report quality.
- Work closely with authors to rewrite/substantively edit reports to improve quality and readability, while maintaining voice of author; ghostwrite some reports if needed
- Manage publications through production, including coordinating with authors, designers, marketing, and other internal teams, completing tracking forms, making text corrections in Adobe Experience Manager; set and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Answer queries and advise, quality criteria, publishing, writing, and language; help authors develop proposals for Editorial Review Board consideration.
- Develop and/or deliver training to internal teams on writing (e.g., on ideation, style, quality criteria).
- Guide junior editors and review their work.
- Adapt reports for external channels; write short articles.
- Coach analysts in India on language and writing. Skills:- Excellent writing and oral communication skills (American English); exceptional knowledge of English grammar and ability to explain edits to authors; comfort with American-style business writing and knowledge of American English idiom.

Work Experience Required:-
8 years- 12 years MA/MPhil in English literature/journalism/writing/communications/teaching English. Also open for an MA/MFA in literature/English/creative writing/journalism/publishing from a US/UK/Australian/Canadian university). Experience preferably in a publishing/media house; working closely with experienced authors; working with international teams.
Qulaifications:-
Education: Master's degree (preferably in English/literature/journalism/humanities).
- Technical skills: MS Word, Adobe Acrobat, MS PowerPoint; familiarity with Chicago Manual of Style is added bonus. Knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager is helpful but not required.
- Work experience: At least 8-10 years of experience in writing/editing content in English.
Industry preference:- BIG 4, Research firms, KPO, Media and Publishing Houses, Magazines and Newspapers, MNC IT Corporates.
