Managing Director - Private Equity - India & South East Asia

US$5 billion Private Equity focused on mid market investments in Asia across buyouts, growth investments and special situations. The firm focuses on Consumer, Retail, Education, Internet and other consumer sectors. Looking for a senior India/ South East Asia focused investment professional to be based in Singapore/ India.

The Firm has raised over US$2.5 billion in their recent fund close to be allocated for US$50-400 million equity investments. This Managing Director based in India/Singapore is responsible for mid market investment opportunities in Consumer driven sectors in India and other South East Asian geographies.

Responsibilities will include:

- Building a strong network of senior business executives and intermediaries

- Bring significant deal opportunities in India and South East Asia

- Representing the firm as a value provider to top management and promoters

- Present fair view analysis of the deal to the team and Investment Committee

- Drive Associates/ Analysts to scan market for investment opportunities

- We need a person with strong track record of originating deals in India and other South East Asian geographies.

- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships with promoters in the region is important as the firm emphasizes on deals in the non auction space.

- Excellent opportunity for high pedigree private equity professionals looking for an agile Asia focused platform which has been successful in managing great exits and continued deal flow in difficult times.

- Prior experience of working in US bulge bracket investment bank strongly preferred.
