We have urgent requirement for MANAGER - VENTURE DEVELOPMENT CENTER (VDC) for University in VIzag

MANAGER - VDC JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a full-time position at the VDC, dedicated to the NU-IDEA program activities. The assigned Manager - VDC shall not undertake any other responsibilities outside the NU-IDEA program. As a local representative, he/she is responsible for the smooth running of the Venture Development Center (VDC) for the successful delivery of NU-IDEA program and its various associated initiatives.

- Reports to NU-IDEA Program Coordinator or Project Manager, who is an authorized representative of Northeastern University in India

- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the VDC

- Owns and manages the local infrastructure for the VDC - physical and virtual - including classrooms, collaboration rooms, conference facilities, video/audio and associated technology for the smooth conduct of the center's business

- Responsible for meeting the enrolment targets for client programs and courses

- Assists NU-IDEA Program Coordinator, and works with Venture Coach(es) in coaching and guiding students through their learning and venture-development processes

- Coordinates the delivery of online learning modules through the NU-IDEA LMS platform(s), and engages students to complete learning modules and assignments timely

- Responsible for setting up and coordinating the activities of Entrepreneurs Club including facilitation of E-Club's action group activities by students

- Establishes and maintains active contact with University alumni and engages them for participation in GCEE entrepreneurship activities

- Takes direction from NU-IDEA Program Coordinator in the successful execution of the NUIDEA program

Required Skill and Experience:

- The desired candidate shall be a young, dynamic and proven leader who is committed to promoting innovation based entrepreneurship culture

- An MBA from a top tier institution in India/abroad with consistently good/outstanding academic record. A degree in engineering may be considered if the candidate has exposure to business operations, marketing or finance functions

- Between 5 and 10 years of work experience preferably in leadership/general management /entrepreneurship /investment /consulting fields

- Direct exposure to entrepreneurship (has started a business or coached/mentored startups) is a big plus

- Team-building, leadership and motivational skills

- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
