What you'll do:
- Review US business and individual tax forms/paperwork prepared by the junior staff
- Proactive in managing the engagement; identifying and resolving issues, and anticipating needs(client, Partner, and deliverable timelines)
- Develops a relationship and maintains contact with clients throughout the year; possesses thorough knowledge of clients and all facets of client's business.
- Demonstrates excellent project management skills, inspires teamwork and responsibility by engaging team members, and uses current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and service.
- Plans, supervises, reviews, and controls engagements of all sizes and complexities for tax compliance with all professional and firm standards. This includes responsibility for client adherence to compliance-related deadlines such as extensions, tax estimate requirements, and tax return filings, supervising time budget development, and working with internal staff and clients to plan engagement requirements, objectives, and strategies.
- Communicates progress of engagements, problems, and resolutions to client and team.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of complex tax concepts and their application to client situations.
- Mentoring and guiding a group of Tax staff, including their career development, training, professional development, productivity, and performance.
- Evaluates the performance of Tax staff and provides verbal and written feedback regularly.
- Understands the firm's policies, procedures, and professional standards
- Displays strong social and teamwork skills; can interact with people in a variety of situations, listens and communicates well, is trusted by others, and can adapt to different work styles

Preferred Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in business, Accounting, or Finance
- Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant (CPA)/Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required
- High level of people and project management skills
- Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in public accounting working on US tax business and individual returns (1120, 1120S, 1065,1040)
- Successful problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in the use of computers, accounting software, and tax software programs
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to train and supervise staff in tax, software skills, etc.
- Ability to perform under time pressures and meet deadlines
- Strong work ethic, honest and ethical
