Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the payroll function, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of payroll for all employees.
- Utilize the Workday tool to manage and maintain employee payroll information, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and benefits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze payroll data, ensuring compliance with company policies, employment regulations, and tax laws.
- Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
- Continuously assess and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Manage payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner, providing exceptional customer service to employees.
- Partner with HR, Finance, and other departments to ensure seamless integration and alignment of payroll processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to payroll and shared services, incorporating best practices into the organization.
- Train and mentor payroll team members, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting their professional growth.
- Generate reports and analytics related to payroll data, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, Finance, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CPP - Certified Payroll Professional) are a plus.
- Proven experience (15years ) in payroll management, preferably within the financial services industry.
- Strong working knowledge and experience with the Workday payroll system is essential.
- Familiarity with shared services models and their application in payroll operations.
- In-depth understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and tax compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex payroll data and perform audits.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in payroll processing.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to handle payroll issues and inquiries effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships across departments.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proficient in MS Office suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
