Role: Treasury Research - Economist

Location: Mumbai

Grade: Manager

Looking for applicants with a M.A. in Economics from Delhi School of Economics (DSE), Jawahar Lal University Delhi (JNU), Indian Statistical Institute (ISI), Indira Gandhi Institute of Development & Research (IGIDR).

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct macroeconomic research on various geographies

- Publish reports on thematic issues of economic importance

- Generate views for FX and interest rate markets

- Interact with clients of the bank and also makes presentations at business events

- Provide research inputs to internal desks such as sales and other functions

- Track macroeconomic developments of assigned geography

- Generate forecasts for currencies/interest rates/macroeconomic variables In this regard the candidate

Skills and Competencies required:

- Should be familiar with statistical/econometrics tools and software packages

- Should be able to build and test econometric models for specific hypotheses

- Should possess spreadsheet skills in managing/maintaining/updating large amounts of data

- Should be able to make presentations to clients/internal desks regarding his/her area of research

- Should have an analytical bent of mind
