Job Title: Project/Transition Management/Governance
Reports to: Vice President, Strategic Project Services
Role Summary:
- As a member of the United States based Strategic Project Services team, the Project/Transition Manager partners with both onshore and India-based stakeholders to lead or support all transition-related initiatives across State Street's India operations.
- Plan, collaborate, and pro-actively manage issues and challenges as they occur to drive timely resolution and on-time project delivery against agreed programme / project timelines whilst driving continuous process improvement.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with onshore stakeholders to capture business requirements, objectives and timeframes
- Develop project framework and governance, in alignment with business need
- Establish project charters and secure pre-project approvals as required, in accordance with best practice
- Ensure appropriate identification and engagement of project stakeholders
- Develop detailed project plans to manage project activities from planning to closure
- Ensure project plans embrace State Street requirements for approvals, and regulatory / risk assessments
- Lead project calls with both onshore and India-based stakeholders, maintaining a partnership-based approach
- Ensure project RAID and Action logsare established and maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee / lead project plan execution, driving urgency through an action-oriented approach
- Lead project communications to ensure all project stakeholders remain appraised of project status
- Oversee appropriate development, maintenance and clear communication of project status to both local and onshore management
- Work with project stakeholders to manage project issues, risk and scope pro-actively
- Drive continuous improvement in the migration methodology, project communications and toolkit
Minimum Job Requirements
- 9 years project management experience, with at least 5 in leadership roles
- At least 7years industry experience in financial services is preferred
- Bachelors/Masters- degree/professional certification required, ideally project management related
- Excellent communication skills up to executive level, in both written and verbal English
- Excellent knowledge with MS Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Access
- Strong team management skills
- Strong knowledge of Custody Bank Back Office is preferred
- Good knowledge of technology/network set-up and incidental issues preferred
- Good analytical skills with focus on detail
- Prepared to travel occasionally
- Prepared to work long hours regularly
