We require a Trade Marketing Manager ( Reporting to Head Trade Marketing ) for a Leading Speciality Food Brand in India & Abroad, one of the trusted Brands in 4 continents, has won several prestigous accolades both in India and abroad,stands strong as the leading processor and exporters of packaged basmati rice in the country. The company is a dynamic and diversified agribusiness and foods company dealing into varied businesses such as Organic Foods, Grain Storage, Staple Foods and Healthy snacks market with a turnover of 3000+ crores.

- The Organization takes pride & is known for Sustainable Growth, Brand Focus, Integrated Business Model, Culture of Ownership & a Customer Centric Focus.

- In India alone, Brands are featured in more than 1,00,000 outlets, Sells over 300,000 Metric Tons of Packaged Basmati Rice Every Year.

- Company has formed a Joint Venture with Leading Japanese Snacks Maker, Global Leader in Rice based Snacks for healthier Snacking options

It has a strong global network in more than 65 countries across the globe in major markets like USA, UK, Germany, France, Spain, Middle East, South Africa, Mauritius and Australia.

Job Description :

- Key driver of business and growth will be designing effective promotions and trade marketing plans jointly with the distributor.

- The incumbent will be responsible for creating annual Trade Marketing strategy and plans to develop the business and market share on focus brands and focus geographies.

- The incumbent will be responsible for jointly developing with the distributors a quarterly promotions plan and ensuring its excellent execution and the evaluation of the promotions and business results achieved.

Key Deliverables :

Annual Business Planning : Assist the Sales Head in preparing AOP, Consolidate annual volume projections; assess trends & growth rates; identify profitable markets; build business case for own brands; present draft trade marketing plans to arrive at a robust operating plan.

Functional tasks :

- Prepare trade marketing annual objectives, strategies by brand-Geographies matrix

- Prepare calendar of activities & implement actions as per approved plans; visit markets & support regional initiatives; prepare draft plans & seek approval to facilitate achievement of set targets.

New Launches : Conceptualize new product launch plans, coordinate with various departments to undertake developmental activities in packaging, designing, legal specifications, launch placements and subsequently launches etc.

Agency handling : Coordinate with various agencies to prepare briefs; monitor campaign performance; address queries; seek management interface on critical issues to ensure time bound execution of various plans.

Desired Profile :

The ideal candidate would be an MBA/PGDBM with minimum 6 to 10 years experience in the same field.

- He/She should have creative mind with analytical ability, conceptual thinking & multitasking skill.

Core Skills :

- Trade Marketing and an ability to define trade programs which build on retail performance standards and promotion programmes with a perspective of impacting consumer/customer off-take.

Key Account Promotion Programme designing : Consumer oriented and programmes which drive efficiency of spends (achieving dual objectives with the same spends); knowledge of how to impactfully and cost efficiently build shelving and distribution. Knowledge of modern trade management concepts.

Core Behaviours and Competencies :

Innovation : Defining volume building initiatives

Business Acumen : Sensitivity to brand financials; control and track of expenses; drives cost efficiency in programmes

- Negotiation

- Planning Skills

Analytical abilities : Ability to identify business and consumer drivers; ability to review performance- identify causes for deviation and plan corrective action. Some numerical literacy and spread sheet type analysis skills a must.

Attitudinal Profile :

- Passion for building business and brands

- Positive outlook - focuses on what can be achieved rather than insurmountable problems

- Drive. Energy and Can Do Attitude

- Must like working with different nationalities, cultures. Job will require 10-15 days travel per month.

Experience : 6 to 10 years

Industry Type : FMCG/Foods/Beverage

- Knowledge of local markets, customer and channels and consumers will be highly desired.
