Manager - Technical Project - Business Intelligence - BFS

Experience: 11 - 15 Years

Responsibilities:

- Project Management of large scale data warehouses and data marts for clients

- Hands-on involvement during requirements analysis, design, data modelling, development and test phases along with ensuring best practices are followed

- Participate in architectural discussions and ensure that solutions match requirements. Contribute to this discussion, and moderate recommendations and options.

- Ensure that design, development and implementation confirm to architecture, functional and non-functional design specifications, reaching maximum performance, availability and serviceability

- Develop and manage project plans, tasks and resources, schedules, project estimates

- Monitor and control project execution

- Adopt established project management methodology and standards

- Risk management - Identify and anticipate risks and issues. Facilitate resolution, mitigation, and appropriate escalation

- Adherence to Change management and scope management practices

- Communication management - Perform Status reporting, escalations, stakeholder communication

- Quality management - ensure all project deliverables meet prescribed quality to ensure customer delight

- Adopt best practices and methodologies for testing

- Actively participate in team member mentoring and career development

- Assist in development and delivery of BI training programs, provide mentorship/guidance to the team, involve in training activities

- Client/Customer engagement & management

Skills/ qualifications:

- BE/ BTech in Computer Science or similar fields. BE/ BTech with MBA will be an added benefit.

- A minimum of 4 years- experience project managing BI/ data warehouse projects

- Expert knowledge of Project Management methodologies. Certifications like PMI, Prince2 will be given preference

- Must have managed end -to -end BI / DW project life cycles

- Prior development experience in one or more of the following technologies:

- Relational DBS like MS SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc

- ETL tools such as Talend (most preferred), Datastage, SSIS, Informatica, AbInitio etc

- BI/ Data Visualization tools such as Pentaho Dashboard and Visualization (most preferred), Microstrategy, Qlik,

- Tableau, Business Objects, Power BI, etc

- NoSQL DBs

- Big data technologies

- Excellent communication skills and client interaction skills

- Should be open to travel.
