B. Position Summary :

The tax manager would be primarily responsible for leading the compliances in all the Tax and GST matters of the entity in India, USA and any other country, we plan to operate in future.

C. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The tax manager should have immense knowledge in all the Indian Tax Laws, and should be hands on in all Tax & legal matters.

2. The Tax Manager should also have working knowledge of International Taxation in India, USA and APAC.

3. Should be up to date on the changes in Laws and requirements and processes to be followed in for each compliance

4. Responsible for providing Tax information for firm's financial statements

5. Ensuring compliance in all direct tax matters (including transfer pricing documentation) requirements

6. Ensuring monthly GST filing, GST audit and getting GST refund

7. The person is also responsible for review of TDS related compliances

8. The person is responsible for addressing any queries/notices from various departments. Responsible for submitting inputs to consultants all the data that are required for filing appeals in case of litigation.

9. Identifying the most tax efficient strategy for overseas expansion

10. Advising on the structuring of license agreements and commercial arrangements and suggesting the tax efficient alternative

11. Advising on tax issues like Permanent Establishment (PE), SEZ, STPI structuring & implications, stock option plans.

12. Advisory on tax implications of deputation of personnel based on review of the agreements and recommending the way forward

13. Due diligence exercise commenting on the existing tax positions and future tax implications of the arrangement

14. Withholding tax diagnostic review specially for foreign payments to assess the level of compliance, identify potential exposure and way forward

15. Assistance in assessment proceedings and proceedings with higher authorities like DRP, CIT(A) and ITAT

16. Responsible for maintenance of Assessment, Appeals and Disputed tax tracker

17. Preparing/supervising the preparation of U.S. federal, state, local and non-U.S. tax returns

18. Advising the SLK Group on the tax implications related to the SLK's businesses and/or transactions undertaken by or for the SLK. Direct and Indirect tax Advisory (sectors covered are IT/ITES and BPO)
