Responsibilities:

- The candidate should have immense knowledge in all the Indian Tax Laws, and should be hands on in all Tax & legal matters.

- The candidate should also have working knowledge of International Taxation in India, USA, Europe and APAC.

- Should be up to date on the changes in Laws and requirements and processes to be followed in for each compliance

- Responsible for providing Tax information for firm's financial statements

- Ensuring compliance in all direct tax matters (including transfer pricing documentation) requirements

- The person is also responsible for review of TDS related compliances including TDS on foreign payments

- The person should be aware of GST related compliances & issues to be able to guide team in case of need.

- The person is responsible for addressing any queries/notices from various departments. Responsible for submitting inputs to consultants all the data that are required for filing appeals in case of litigation.

- Assisting on tax issues like Permanent Establishment (PE), SEZ, STPI structuring & implications, stock option plans.

- Due diligence exercise commenting on the existing tax positions and future tax implications of the arrangement

- Withholding tax diagnostic review specially for foreign payments to assess the level of compliance, identify potential exposure and way forward

- Assistance in assessment proceedings and proceedings with higher authorities like DRP, CIT(A) and ITAT

- Responsible for maintenance of Assessment, Appeals and Disputed tax tracker

- Preparing/supervising the preparation of U.S. federal, state, local and non-U.S. tax returns

- Advising the Management on the tax implications related to the Company's businesses and/or transactions undertaken by or for the Company. Direct and Indirect tax Advisory (sectors covered are IT/ITES)
