Job Description

Qualification :

- Minimum of Bachelors/ Masters of Engineering in Mechanical or Production

- 10-15+ years' experience in operations of Manufacturing Industry or Similar Industries

- Well versed with manufacturing quality standards and implementation including methods like lean, 5s, six sigma, PPAP, FMEA, APQP, SPC, etc.

- Good understanding of Management practices

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Plan for the Supply Chain: Create and carry out strategies for the supply chain that are in line with the overarching goals and objectives of the company. Optimizing inventory management, streamlining procedures, and identifying opportunities for improvement are all part of this.

- Management of Suppliers: Select, evaluate, and manage suppliers in conjunction with the customer's requirement. Ensure the prompt delivery of high-quality materials and components, monitor the performance of suppliers, and negotiate contracts.

- Organizing Production: Develop production schedules and plans that meet customer demand while maximizing resource utilization. Keep an eye on how production is going and make any necessary adjustments.

- Quality Control: Establish and maintain robust quality control procedures to guarantee that products meet quality standards. Work together with the quality assurance team to keep an eye on the quality of the product, take action to fix it, and keep getting better.

- Distribution and Logistics: Control the activities of transportation, storage, and distribution to guarantee the prompt and economical delivery of goods to customers. Improve productivity by collaborating with logistics providers and optimizing logistics procedures.

- Management of the Inventory: To minimize carrying costs and stockouts while maintaining optimal stock levels, develop and implement strategies for inventory management. Optimize inventory levels by making use of forecasting strategies and demand planning. Measuring Performance: Set up and keep an eye on the supply chain and operations function's key performance indicators (KPIs). Improve performance, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction by analysing data, spotting trends, and putting initiatives into action.

- Continual Development: Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process optimization, and operational excellence and drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain. Use best practices and compare them to industry norms. Collaboration across departments: To ensure that activities in the supply chain are in line with the overarching goals of the company, work together with other departments like finance, marketing, and sales. Participate in cross-functional meetings and contribute to discussions about supply chain issues.

- Management of risk: To ensure business continuity, identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Develop contingency plans and keep an eye on market trends, changes in regulations, and geopolitical factors that could affect the supply chain.

Strategies that improve the company's supply chain performance, cut costs, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction will be the primary focus.
