Supply Chain Manager

And it can be Senior Manager- Supply Chain depending on the interview rounds that will happen further.
- The AVASO Supply Chain Services (SCS) Manager is a leadership role and report directly to Vice President - Global services.
- SCS leader is responsible for overseeing and managing AVASO's Procurement, Logistics, and Depot Programme.
- The SCS Lead will have overall responsibility for the supply chain, logistics, strategy, and operations and also maximizes the process efficiency and productivity.
- In addition, The SCS Lead will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining good relationships with vendors and distributors.
Procurement :
- As regards to the Procurement, the SCS Manager is responsible for overseeing Supplier relations and transportation details for hardware purchased for AVASO clients.
- The duties include managing the Purchase Orders and Invoices, determining which distributor to use, monitoring delivery times from warehouses or manufacturing plants to retail locations and hiring and training purchasing staff members to carry out purchasing tasks as the AVASO hardware business grows.
Procurement Duties and Responsibilities :
The SCS Lead is responsible for the procurement of hardware for AVASO clients and for the management of each part of the supply chain to ensure consistent delivery of hardware while identifying possible obstacles that may affect delivery deadlines. Duties and responsibilities include :
- Developing sound, cost-effective strategies for the purchasing of hardware used by AVASO clients
- Maintaining relationships with distributors such as Ingram-Micro or Tech Data, and OEMs such as Dell, Cisco, HP, or Lenovo, or while scouting for additional vendors
- Evaluating spending operations while seeking ways to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries
- Communicating with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of hardware affecting AVASO clients operations
- Conducting cost analyses and setting benchmarks for improvement
- Developing risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages
- Supervising a purchasing team and delegating tasks across departments when necessary
- Working closely with the company legal department to make sure contracts and terms are favorable, if required
Logistics :
- The SCS Lead is responsible for ensuring that the supply chain is efficient and effective throughout AVASO.
- The SCS Lead organizes, stores, and monitors the distribution of hardware to ensure items and resources are shipped to their appropriate destinations, and that transportation details are made available to AVASO clients.
Logistics Duties and Responsibilities :
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer hardware
- Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Meet cost, accuracy, and timeliness targets
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
Warehouse and Depot :
- Finally, the SCS Lead is responsible for managing the chain of depots and warehouses AVASO maintains around the world.
- The SCS Lead ensures all documents are completed, rentals are up-to-date, buildings or facilities are maintained and resourced as per the country regulations, security systems and surveillance are operational and serviced, and that backup warehouse is planned and available in case of emergency.
Warehouse and Depot Duties and Responsibilities :
- Strategically plan and manage warehouses and depots on a global basis
- Select locations of new warehouses and depots and ensure they meet client needs
- Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, catalogue goods, plan routes and process shipments
- Resolve any arising problems or complaints
- Meet all security requirements including outside and inside video surveillance, entry and exit security systems, physical and cyber security
- Segregate warehouses and depots in zones or cages for each client
- Maintain a number of resources who can reception, repair, and sip client hardware at depot locations
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements
- Comply with laws, regulations, and ISO requirements
