Ideally we are looking for a qualified BE Mechanical Engineer with strong structual sourcing experience inOEM/Telecom /Infrastructure Companies/Consulting Organisations/Battery manufacturers/automobilemanufacturing/Wind energy. Job Details : Function Name : SCM Division/ Dept: : Strategic Sourcing Reports to : Category Manager - Strategic Sourcing Experience : 5+yrs of exposure in sourcing automotive/engineering products in a system oriented company Education : B.Tech Mechanical As support provider : - Interaction with Deployment, Operations, Maintenance and ESH to ensure their business needs are met on time - Interaction with all Circle SCM Heads to provide required support and eventually ensure that all centrally rolled out projects are being executed on time and in line with the laid down guidelines/processes As support seeker : - Interaction with Technology to get all technical documents/ specifications required to initiate sourcing process, Product/Proto Approval, Partner Approvals etc. - Interaction with Operations for timely KPI sign-off - Interaction with Finance to ensure partners are being paid on time - Interaction with Legal to make sure all contractual terms are vetted legally before getting signed off External interactions : Interaction with concerned infra partners to ensure timely delivery of goods/services Knowledge Required : Sourcing professional with experience in diverse industries. i.e. Automotive / Oil & Gas / Steel / Telecom / Consulting ; Strong insight of Market and Partners will help achieve optimum cost level Skills / Competencies : Utilise Sourcing strategy for getting best of finished goods and services. Need to be a tough negotiator and should have awareness of contractual and legal terms and conditions. ; Strategic Sourcing professional need to be exposed with the upcomng technologies and regulatory challenges Typical Day Looks like : Strategic Sourcing issue - 60% ; Operations Issues - 40% Principal Purpose of the Job : Responsibilities encompass assisting category managers in developing and implementing sourcing strategy for respective "Category" and thereby delivering benefits through cost reduction initiatives. The role requires constant monitoring of supply market, trends and partner base to modify strategy or devise new sourcing strategy to derive maximum benefits and to meet internal business needs. 1. Strategic Sourcing : - Assist category sourcing in formulating strategies in the area of Towers, Monopoles, Shelters, COW's etc. by conducting in-depth spend analysis 2.
