Purpose of the job:
Driving strategy/transformation projects for select businesses of Godrej Agrovet, and being involved in M&A / partnership evaluations for GAVL overall, as part of the strategy team
Role Summary:
Strategy is at present expanding to add digital transformation capabilities. Some work done by the team in the last One year includes- Driving Inorganic growth, Increasing the profitability of businesses (additional revenue streams, Cost reduction, etc. ), Building future product pipeline, Evaluation of future Capex plans (Build vs. Buy vs. Lease), Exploring future Global Partnerships, Creating thought capital on Indian Agriculture among others. The team is part of GAVL Corporate, with the Head of Strategy & Business Development reporting to the MD of the company. The CEOs of the individual businesses and heads of other functions also report to the MD of the company
We are looking for a team member who is passionate about problem-solving, can drive value creation in diverse business environments, and is comfortable traveling to rural India. He / She would work with the CEO of select businesses in crafting and executing respective businesses' strategies and report to the Head of Strategy & Business Development.
Qualification & Experience:
- MBA from premier B -School with work experience of 2-3 years
- Must have work experience in Strategy Consulting
- Ability to independently drive strategy projects
- Ability to influence senior stakeholders
Skills Required:
Excellent excel/power point skills, interpersonal and communication skills
Prior exposure to Agriculture and Agribusiness is preferred, but not mandatory
Willing to travel to our numerous operating locations and distributed markets across the country
