- Ensure that the periodic accounting for all entities within Property Subsidiaries and Property Joint Ventures is complete and consistent with both Generally Accounting Principles (TGAP) and IFRS. Further, ensure that both the Entity views and the consolidated views are correct. - Has technical knowledge and capability to be able to review and update all relevant journals without review by UK Control unless specifically requested to do so or where the journal is subjective. This service will be provided to the relevant contact in UK Control. - Closing statutory trial balances for the Property Subsidiaries and Property Joint Ventures and will be the first point of contact for statutory auditors (big 4) to provide all the necessary data to populate the financial statements. - Perform the initial reviews of all the year end financial statements produced by statutory auditors (big 4) for the above companies and will take ownership for ensuring that the data is correctly, consistently mapped and the statements are fully proof read to an agreed timeline, before sending to UK Control for final review. - Support the UK Control in determining the appropriate accounting and in defining updates to the recurring journal lists for any changes to the structure of the Property Subsidiaries and Joint Ventures. - Build up and develop capability within team so that there is the opportunity by the end of the financial year 19/20 to move additional work and to take on the initial responsibility for statutory reporting as defined in the first 4 points above, for additional legal entities. Skills Required: - Chartered Accountant with at least 7 to 10 years post qualification experience, able to demonstrate a broad and deep knowledge of KEY IFRS accounting standards. - Experience of producing audited financial statements in accordance with IFRS. - Able to lead a small team and deliver to agreed deadlines. - Strong communication skills; able to communicate between various stakeholders.
