Team Overview:

The work of the Strategy team includes business performance review, analysis of business and operating model, market entry strategy, acquisition screening and industry & competitor analysis. The team works directly with senior management across the businesses and regions to determine the optimal strategy for reaching the business aspirations in the rapidly changing market environment.

Experience: 3 to 5 years

Qualification: MBA or MS or B.Tech from top tier institute

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Work as a part of the Strategy division on global, regional and divisional projects

2. Prepare presentations for senior management board meetings, investor day, off-sites, town Halls

3. Support management / business on strategic projects (e.g. identifying opportunities in new areas of growth, developing medium-term business strategy and planning, acquisition screening / evaluation for inorganic opportunities, new digital business growth opportunities etc.)

4. Execute projects on business optimization, restructuring and cost efficiency

5. Strategic assessment of underperforming businesses and development of scenarios / recommendations for business heads

6. Conduct analysis of the competitive and general macro / market environment for senior management presentations. Develop market sizing / revenue pool models

7. Prepare quarterly presentation on Wholesale division's earnings covering financial performance analysis, changes in business environment and key themes impacting the earnings

8. Most of the projects require working closely with strategy team members, business CAOs, finance and other functional teams in different regions; working independently or with the support of another member of the team

9. Role provides wide exposure into investment banking industry across Fixed Income Equities and IB Advisory

Desired Profile:

1. 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a strategy role, in a consulting firm or a strategy/business planning unit of a financial institution

2. Knowledge of capital markets / investment banking will be preferred
