The Operations Practice Advanced Analytics team in Gurgaon, is the analytical wing of the Operations practice. In addition to supporting client service teams within Asia, they will serve as a global hub of analytics expertise for client needs all over the world.

Role Overview :

The Operations Practice Advanced Analytics team is looking to hire the senior leadership across levels to help build, manage, train, develop, and deploy a team of Gurgaon-based consultants and analysts on Advanced Analytics work around the world. They will also help build intellectual property in the form of models, approaches, code, and written materials to support our client work and development. At times, the Manager will work directly with client service teams (CSTs) globally within the Operations Practice, driving analytics assessments (modeling, visualization, ETL activities). In addition, individuals in this role will help shape the daily workstreams of team members that are focused on conducting deep analytic work.

Manager/Sr. Manager/VP- Analytics would spend a significant amount of his/her time working with all service lines within the Operations practice, addressing the complex analytics focused problems within a wide set of diverse clients. They will help to define, build, and grow client service offerings within the space.

Specifically, he/she will be expected to perform the following activities :

Technical :

- Work on client engagements focusing on a broad set of operations related advanced analytical models

- Conduct analytical assessment, diagnostics and communication, including deriving business insights from data exploration

- Provide work stream and developmental guidance and leadership to junior team members (Junior Analysts, Analysts, and Senior Analytics)

- Provide domain knowledge and expertise when relevant

- Create valuable, transformative business strategies through the measurement, manipulation, reporting and dissemination of broad sets of data

- Apply and advise on state-of-the-art advanced analytic and quantitative tools and modeling techniques in order to derive business insights, solve complex business problems and improve decisions

- Review, support and advise on the day-to-day analytics requirements of clients key operational processes while continually improving the impact of these processes

Project and People Management :

- Be the go-to person for customer care, including working alongside CSTs globally to conduct analytical analysis and/or oversee junior team member workflow

- Manage team related activities including staffing, client pipeline, recruitment

- Generate and draw insights from metrics including team production and satisfaction and client impact

- Coach, mentor, motivate and evaluate team members on client/knowledge pieces

Knowledge Development :

- Help shape the course for practice knowledge priorities

- Push the boundaries on analytical initiatives, including testing new languages and software, and training others on their application

- Manage the knowledge pipeline for the team; Pushing on knowledge codification and dissemination

- Help create a roadmap for a greater understanding of analytics and its impact in the consulting population

Knowledge & Skills Required :

We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated both a strong business sense and deep understanding of data management, architecture, visualization, and modeling. Candidates must also possess the following hallmarks of excellent problem solving skills, team skills, entrepreneurial ability, and strong communication skills.

Specifically, the successful candidates will have :

- Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions.

- Good written and verbal communication skills. Fluent in both written and spoken English; prior experience in a multi-national environment desirable.

- Energetic, cooperative and pleasant personality. Able to work with and coach effectively a diverse group of team members

- Flexibility, patience, and an understanding of fluid, demanding, and unstructured environments where priorities evolve constantly and methodologies are regularly challenged.

- Ability to work under pressure and deliver on tight deadlines. Successful execution of this role will need high levels of technical expertise. Candidates should have direct exposure to and working knowledge of some of the following tools and techniques:

- Techniques like implementing machine learning algorithms for a variety of applications, regression analysis, time series/predictive modeling and design of experiments

- Data collection and preparation tools such as C, C+, R and Python. Experience with SQL, AWS, Java and related languages a plus

- Data architecture languages including SQL and Hadoop

- Analytical Modeling languages, including R and Python. Spark, Scala and RapidMiner a plus

- Programming experience with C++, Access, Tableau, Alteryx and VBA is a plus

- Exposure to heuristics, meta-heuristics is desirable

Education & Previous Experience Required :

- Under-graduate degree (Bachelors in Industrial, Computer or similar Engineering)

- Professional work experience with a reputed consulting or analytics focused organization or Analytics firm focused data architecture and modeling is essential. VP Analytics to have atleast 11+ years work exp, Sr. Manager at least 8-9 Years and Manager 7 years and above.

- Atleast 3+ years of experience managing a team of 20+ professionals in analytic roles for Sr. Manager and VP levels.

- Atleast 3+ years of consulting or related work within a professional services team, focused on managing complex analytics projects

- Specific exposure to analytical techniques for addressing issues in inventory management, demand planning, production planning and scheduling, logistics optimization, predictive maintenance, and Operations situations is desirable
