Financial Accounting
- Delivery of the month-end processes to ensure the complete and accurate recording of client's opex result
- Liaison with teams within Finance Shared Service Center (FSSC) and other Finance Operations departments to ensure the end-to-end process operates successfully and efficiently
- Key point of control for the quality and integrity of the results posted
- Application of Group Accounting standards in the context of the opex result
Financial Reporting
- Production of monthly reporting packs & value add commentaries and actively interpret and review financial results
- Undertake monthly performance appraisal and reviews with Finance Decision Support (FDS) teams to centrally agreed timetables. Be a “Trusted Advisor” to FDS teams
- Production and presentation of month-end reporting packs for key Business and Finance stakeholders, including Timetables. This will include timely and insightful analysis of pertinent information related to Opex and Capex which will enable FDS and business to take financial decisions
- Produce local schedules for reviews with stakeholders and submissions to meet timetable
- Execute forecasting process for assigned cost center
Stakeholder management
- Identification and proactive management of key stakeholders within the organisation.
- Provide dedicated finance support to functions including regular meetings with FDS teams to discuss financial results and monthly issues.
- Provide financial accounting advice and guidance to the key stakeholders of the business
- Proactive identification, reporting and resolution of issues with the key stakeholders
Control environment
- Identify key process controls that are needed within the end-to-end opex process and ensure these are properly designed and operate as intended
- Fulfill requirements on the SOX and other compliance programmes
- Up-hold the wider ‘tone’ of Finance Operations in ensuring integrity, accuracy and appropriateness
- Responsibility for the integrity of designated balance sheet accounts, including preparation of monthly reconciliations.
Change Management
- Continuously develop and improve existing processes to ensure they remain simple, are efficient and align to the overall Fin Ops vision
- Address historic issues, identify root causes and ensure a sustainable fix is implemented
- Align Fin OCM processes to the common OCM framework, and wider Fin Ops operating principles
Teamwork
- Ability to work as part of a high performing team and take ownership and accountability for assigned areas of responsibility.
- Work in a virtual team/matrix structure and influence accordingly
- Work with teams across functions to deliver improvements across Group Common Functions.
- Coach and develop the team by identifying their development needs through call over process and regular engagement
Communication
- Ability to explain complex financial information in written and verbal form to financial and non-financial people.
- Develop strong professional relationships with key customers including, local reporting teams and Group Commercial / Group Technology Senior Management.
Qualification-
CA / ICWA / SCCA / CPA certified with 8-10 years of experience (2002-2004 pass out)
Shift hours: UK shift (12:30pm to 9:30pm)
