Purpose of Job (in brief i.e. in 2/3 Lines)

- Drive Collections and Legal efforts of the area of coverage. Be the one point contact for aspects covering collections and legal in the area of coverage.

Responsibility (in details)

1. Collections

- Be the owner of Collections for the accounts for the locations handled – to manage by going on the field for collections by himself.

- Management and presentation of Collection management information systems (MIS) and regular performance reviews

- Handle through the sales team members, the on ground collection.

- Manage delinquency related parameters and ensuring are within triggers.

- Specific details mentioned in Table below.

2. Agency Management & Performance Management

- Identification, empanelling, training and retention of the desired agencies at regional/area levels.

- Implement the performance management system and culture as per the objective of the organization

- Implementing the monitoring mechanism and MIS to ensure that each parameter of KPI is constantly measured, reported, analyzed and improved

- Act as a constant source of feedback to product and policy teams to aid in amending policies/products time to time to suit the market risk.

3. Governance & Compliance

- Implement processes as per policy.

- Educate and train the team members on the policy requirement

- Ensure and check that collection policies and standards are being implemented at the ground level

- Ensure that region / area is always Audit Ready and Complaint with internal and external policies and regulations in the area of management.

4. Legal

- Be part of the legal team and assist Legal Head in all aspects of legal where required.

- Implement, measure, monitor and control parameters that improve overall laid down policies.

Responsibility Specifics to Point 1 above.

1. To achieve targeted delinquency parameters such as cheque bounced ratio, FPD, SPD, 30+ % POS, 90+ % POS, Lagged delinquency parameters, manager roll rates targets bucket wise, collect penal charges vis a vis targets.

2. To ensure prioritization and quick resolution of non-starter cases. For customer service and sales related issues, the collection manager should seek prompt assistance from sales personnel.

3. Ensure proper allocation of cases, Curing as per collection strategy and keep track of manual allocation, re- allocation in the collection system.

4. Provide constant feedback to sales on negative areas, profile and fixing geographical limits to Portfolio Head, Credit Function at branches, regional office and HO.

5. To conduct periodical review of efforts and progress for all 90+ cases, skip and fraudulent cases.

6. Adhere to collection policies, procedures and code of conduct and ensure proper training to off rolls staffs, agencies personnel.

7. Properly manage possession of assets by issuing repo orders, maintain possession files. Ensure possession as per laid down policies and maintain all record of deviations, approvals.

8. Properly manage stock yard, valuers which include timely valuation, vehicle inspection, inviting bids, visiting stockyards once a month and conduct self audit, physically count and check stocks lying in our godown against system generated report and document the same for audit purpose. Proper approvals should be taken as per policies and maintain records for any deviation.

9. Maintain proper records of approvals for deviations from relevant authorities and ensure proper tracking.

10. Regular review various collection MIS generated from collection system

11. Manage agencies which include evaluating vendors, obtain proper approvals, and provide timely training and ensuring visit to the agencies thrice a week. Conduct audit of receipt book records, identity card records and immediately report for any unusual events to supervisors.

12. Regular contact possession agencies, skip tracking agencies, lawyers and held weekly meeting with them and review their performance.

13. Optimally use collection system features and training to agency personnel and off roll staff.

Knowledge & Skills Required

- Should be able to manage sales & collection function of the branch

- Should have Exposure of Asset based lending products

- Should have knowledge about local industrial trend /Machineries

- Basic knowledge of Legal aspect of the recovery unit

- Should have corporate sales exposure

Qualification Postgraduate / Graduate if adequate relevant experience is present

Position reporting into Legal Head
