We are hiring Manager/Sr. Manager Business Continuity Planning & Disaster Recovery for India's biggest IT and Services Firm for Chennai Location.

Job Role : Manager/Sr. Manager Business Continuity Planning & Disaster Recovery

Job Location : Chennai

Qualification : Degree/Diploma in engineering, or equivalent university affiliated Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience with ISO 22301

Experience & Knowledge : 5 -11 years experience in business continuity or related industry including at least 4 years experience developing business continuity programs and BC/DR exercises or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Position Description :

Job Summary :

Oversees the development, maintenance, and testing of Business Continuity (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DRP) plans in accordance with ISO 22301 standards. Provides oversight, direction, training, and subject matter expertise to business unit managers on conducting BIA, Risk Assessment and in conducting BCP/DR exercises.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

- Support the Business by the implementation of organization's policy and standards.

- Promote the aims and objectives of the organization.

- Participate in recovery strategy development projects to ensure Policy and performance standards are being adhered to.

- Provide training for and oversee the implementation of BCMS templates and tools across all lines of business.

- Conduct regular meetings with business unit managers to follow up on continuity planning gaps and issues.

- Plan and conduct assessment/review activities to verify compliance with Standards.

- Provide oversight for recovery plan testing to ensure company standards are being met.

- Coordinate exercise scheduling, planning, and execution.

- Provide metrics and reporting to management.

- Assist business unit leaders in responding to customer queries and audit findings.

- Participate in management of the Emergency Command Center at time of disaster.

- Ensure contractual and regulatory requirements are included in the scope of plan documents and exercise activities.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management and employees\

- Proven experience in providing direction and training to business unit leaders

- Demonstrated competence in making independent judgments.

- Good verbal and written communication skills

- Works well under minimal supervision on multiple concurrent projects.

- Works well in a team environment or as an individual.

- Ability to lead business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing activities.

- Ability to lead projects guiding employees in the use of tools and templates designed for plan development and recovery testing.

- Ability to lead exercise events to ensure activities progress according to event plans; issues are logged; and status reporting is provided.

- Highly-skilled with extensive BC/DR proficiency
