- The Manager should have experience working as data / solution architecture, implemented at least 2-3 projects each related to data migration, integration, application development etc. playing a role of business analyst / subject matter expert.
- fHe/she will be working as full-stack professional (front-end, back-end and deployment) for developing enterprise level applications for the Audit function. Broadly, the key responsibilities are:
- Demonstrates an understanding of fund accounting concepts and terminologies
- Understand business requirements and translate them into technical design
- Understanding of database and business layer design, user interface development, testing, optimization & deployment
- Expert level understanding of front end and back end technologies
- Proficient with version control systems and DevOps tools
- Build service design patterns design and implementation SOA, SOAP, REST - which will help us building cross platform integrations
- Build enterprise grade application following industry best practices in application design & security - including physical security, user authentication, access control, encryption
- Prepare Technical design document, validate IT security guidelines by working with IT security team
In addition to above:
- Understanding of industry best practices for programming
- Be a coach / mentor to a team of Seniors & Associates and train them to deliver high quality solutions
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with key onshore stakeholders
- Establishing expectations of value to be delivered on the engagements worked on from GDC
- Identify opportunities to standardize and optimize the development process minimizing opportunities for any delays
- Understand scope of GDC offerings across all lines of businesses to provide overall solutions for engagement teams- needs (D&A, IDEA, KAAP & Advisory)
- Demonstrate professionalism, industry competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the engagement teams
- Use technology (on specific areas of work), continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery
- Contribute to technical and soft-skills training to continually develop the team's skills on industry specific areas of work
Manage people -
- Be a performance manager to guide and coach GDC professionals on career advancement and provide continuous feedback throughout the performance year on their development areas
- Actively participate and lead overall performance development and feedback process at team level and at overall GDC level
- Prior team and people management skills and ability to handle stakeholder relationships are essential.
Lead projects -
- On business and industry specific knowledge development initiatives at GDC
- Lead / participate in firm's strategic initiatives and/or corporate social responsibility programs
Job Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field
- 10+ years of progressive experience in database and front end technologies
- Should have studied or experience in data management, programming, big data developments, systems analysis and technology architectures
- Worked on Data Analytics and Visualization projects using Qlikview, Power BI
- Experience with Big 4/leading Audit firms/GIC or their shared service center would be preferred
Technical & Functional Skills
- Front-end Framework - AngularJS / Sass / Bootstrap
- Back-end Framework - ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET Web API, ASP. Net MVC
- C#, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, D3 Visualizations libraries, CSS, JSON, XML, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, SQL Server, SOAP/REST APIs
- DevOps tools - VSTS, BitBucket, SourceTree
- Accounting knowledge with Funds experiences (good to have)
- Good knowledge of MS Office (with an emphasis on MS Excel skills)
