Warehouse Operations Manager (Warehouse)


Urgent opening for Manager / Sr. Manager - Werehouse Operations , Bangalore for a very large Retail Giant . They are a global Giant in Retail

- Experience in Apparel is must

- Candidate should know Kannada.

- 10 to 12 years of experience in warehouse related activities, preferably from the retail industry

- Area Manager / Retail Operations Head (Administratively) and Head SCM (Functionally)

Role Summary:

Manage the stock handling (inward, storage and replenishment), manpower productivity, housekeeping, safety and security at the warehouses as per the defined SOPs and SLAs within the allocated budgets (Lifestyle, Home Centre, Distribution, Splash, E-Commerce and B2B)

Summary of Role Responsibilities:

- Manage the inward, put away and replenishment of stock to stores as per the TATs

- Manage the fulfillment of the online customer orders and accounting of the online customer returns as per defined TATs

- Monitor and control the warehouse costs within the allocated budgets

- Review and minimize the warehouse handling and transit damages and shrinkages

- Manage delivery of furniture from the warehouse to the customer site as per agreed timelines

- Manage the housekeeping, safety and security at the warehouses as per defined guidelines

- Review and ensure complete compliance to the warehouse SOPs

- Provide support in addressing exceptions and audit gaps in SOP implementation (internal and external)

- Provide support in the continuous improvement activities to enhance warehouse productivities (at individual activity level)

- Manage the implementation of the transportation SOPs for the concerned warehouse

- Review and ensure utilization of dedicated trucks in line-haul and secondary transportation as per defined norms

- Generate and share the MIS as per the defined norms and timelines

- Manage and guide the team to deliver on the job

Key Job Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations:

- Manage the inward, put away and replenishment of stock to stores as per the TATs

- Manage the fulfillment of the online customer orders and accounting of the online customer returns as per defined TATs

- Monitor and control the warehouse costs within the allocated budgets

- Resolve GIT, vendor excess and supply conflicts

- Consolidate the RTV stock at the warehouse and share with the vendors and buying team for RTV clearance in collaboration with the corporate SCM team

- Monitor and minimize the warehouse handling and transit damages and shrinkages

- Dispatch stock for all B2B operations (including Just In Time) as per defined TATs

- Monitor and ensure delivery of furniture from the warehouse to the customer site as per agreed timelines

- Manage the housekeeping, safety and security at the warehouses as per defined guidelines

- Execute the PI and stock take at the warehouse as per the defined schedule

- Make stock available for NSO in alignment with the corporate SCM team

- Work with the corporate SCM team in clearing the indents raised for EOSS

- Review and ensure complete compliance to the SOPs implementation at the warehouse

- Provide support in addressing exceptions and audit gaps in SOP implementation (internal and external)

- Manage accounting for and clearing the project material as per defined norms (fixtures)

- Implement the activities in the warehouse calendar to achieve the key milestones

- Manage disposal of scrap and damages as per defined norms

- Provide support in the continuous improvement activities to enhance warehouse productivities (at individual activity level)

- Maintain the warehouse assets as per defined norms

Transport Operations:

- Manage the implementation of the transportation SOPs for the concerned warehouse

- Review and ensure utilization of dedicated trucks in line-haul and secondary transportation as per defined norms

- Take required actions to minimise in-transit losses

- Manage risks arising from transport strikes, delays due to natural calamities and any other external factors which would affect the deliveries adversely

- Explore opportunities to improve delivery timelines, service quality and reduce overall transportation costs year on year

Vendor Management and MIS:

- Share feedback on vendor delivery performance

- Generate and share the MIS as per the defined norms and timelines

People Management:

- Assign responsibilities and set expectations

- Give regular feedback to team

- Provide support and guide the team to deliver on the job
