Purpose of the role

Responsible for Qualitative market research across industry

Key Responsibilities

- Effectively build, manage and grow the business vertical across sectors and in this process, establish the expertise of co. in the industry.

- Should be able to filter and deliver on all aspects critical to maintaining strong and long-term relationships.

- Should look for practical, functional and critical solutions in all discussions and situations, leading to a position of leadership in the 'solutions provider' context

- Should have led a team of experienced researchers, preferably with new members contributing to a growth in team size and not coming in as replacements only.

- Should be able to showcase expertise in key research approaches, models and new developments in his/ her stream of research. This experience should ideally be across sectors and not be limited to one sector only

- Should develop an excellent understanding of internal and external clients, colleagues and contractual partners, with a view to maintaining long-lasting, mutually beneficial relationships which can stand the test of adverse business scenarios.

- Should actively read and monitor different sources of information to stay updated on the business of the client, KI and contractual partners and on this basis, be able to advise on issues to be addressed/ opportunities to strengthen engagements.

- Should be able to command respect in the client organization, within co. and other consultants.

- Should drive initiatives for skill improvements in self and team members so that deliveries are continuously improved.

- Should be able to select, guide and mentor team members from a long-term team building perspective.

- Should be able to anticipate support needs of different team members and mobilize that through others within the team or through external sources in time to avoid a crisis.

- Should work closely with HR to manage and implement KRAs, role clarity, motivation and increments.
