Key Responsibilities:

- Formulate the overall commodity procurement strategies to provide cost effective and timely service to internal business and clients across the globe.

- Determine negotiation strategy and actively participate in price negotiations with vendors.

- Identify new vendors dealing in required commodities meeting product quality and pricing expectations.

- Coordinate with vendor to identify key milestones, finalize delivery timelines and freeze payment schedules.

- Responsible for sharing market (customer) feedback with vendors.

- Co-ordinate Supplier (Vendor) Visit report, Quality / Shipment related issues.

- Ensure timely delivery of orders by tracking shipments and ensure vendors manage shipments as per contracted terms.

Candidate Background:

- Preference to candidates who have Engineering or Chemical Educational Background.

- Experience of Commodity Purchase (Polymers/Chemicals) for a minimum of 10+ years is must.

- Product Portfolio knowledge required is Polyethylene, Polypropylene, Polyethylene Terephthalate, PVC, Polystyrene etc.

- Should have good understanding of Polymers Sourcing from Global and local (India) suppliers / manufacturers.

- Strong understanding of the pricing trends in this category.
