Manager/ Sr. Manager - M&A Strategy - Agri Tech
Our Client, a Leading Agri-Tech company is looking out a Manager /Senior Manager for its Strategy Team to be based at Mumbai or Delhi NCR. The position reports to the Head of Strategy.
- We are looking at strong individuals who have managed M&A, with hands-on experience in deal structuring for a Tech based set up.
- The individual should be a CA/ MBA with at around 5-12 years experience of working in the Strategy space for Big 4s or equivalent with a strong exposure in strategy and Merger & Acquisition. Experienced in handling end to end M&A deals in the Indian markets.
- The incumbent will work closely with the Strategy head and the Top Management to define the company's strategy, drive strategic initiatives including M&A
- As a key member of the Strategy and Corporate Development team, the candidate would be expected to be at the forefront of a number of merger and acquisition transactions, originate opportunities, evaluate their attractiveness, structure new business transactions, program-manage integration of existing acquisitions.
- Thorough knowledge of handling international subsidiaries & joint venture operations, M&A, fund raising, Global Accounting, international taxation, international laws & compliance, financial analysis, due diligence, commercial acumen, etc
- Ability to conceptualize solution features to improve business process and outcomes
- Sharp focus on quality delivery with strong analytical skills and structured thinking
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong attention to details and problem-solving skills and ability to work with multiple stakeholders to understand detailed process/operations, map business processes, and identify opportunity areas & solutions for implementation
- In-depth understanding of the economic and business environment with good professional network and networking skills
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform market and competitor research to understand industry trends and latest technology trends to define an optimal solution with differentiation
- Developing business plan for acquiring companies in coordination with BU Heads and explore growth opportunities to align with the strategic vision of the Group
- Drive end-to-end M&A process - target search, industry and competitor analysis, valuation benchmarking, term sheet preparation, due diligence, negotiation with target and deal documentation
- Evaluate acquisition candidates; build financial models and business cases for acquisitions and funding
- Work with the senior management to concretize the five-year business plan, market analyses, financial analyses and scenario planning
- Analysing Business units and collaborating with the business heads to drive initiatives
- Building technology, tools and new workflows for productivity, market differentiation
Buy Vs. build decision making :
- Collaborating with competency and delivery heads in the company to develop strategic presentations for large deals
- Coordinating with investment bankers, tax consultants, legal counsel and other external parties for acquisitions
